Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor Dal
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Green Chili, slit
  • 1 Onion, sliced

Method

    Pressure cook Toor Dal with water, salt, and turmeric.

    In a pan, heat ghee. Add cumin seeds, garlic, and green chili. Sauté until garlic is golden.

    Add sliced onions and cook until translucent. Pour this tempering over the dal. Simmer and serve.
