Masoor Dal Curry

Simple red lentil curry with mild spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Masoor Dal (Red Lentils)
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds

Instructions

  1. Rinse and boil Masoor Dal with water, turmeric, salt, and tomato until soft.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  3. Pour the tempering over the cooked dal. Garnish with fresh coriander.
