Dal Pasta Sauce
A creamy, protein-packed vegan pasta sauce made from red lentils.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Masoor Dal (Red Lentils)
- 1 can (400g) Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Rinse and cook masoor dal with 2 cups of water until completely soft and mushy. Blend into a smooth paste.
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the lentil paste, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens. Toss with your favorite pasta.
