Chana Dal Tikki

Crispy, shallow-fried snack patties made from chana dal, served with chutney.

Serves: 6 Tikkis

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana Dal, soaked
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 Boiled Potato
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Grind the soaked chana dal with ginger and green chilies to a coarse paste.
  2. Mix this paste with the mashed boiled potato and chopped coriander. Add salt.
  3. Shape the mixture into flat, round tikkis.
  4. Shallow fry on a pan with a little oil until both sides are golden and crisp.
